Historic mining hearings scheduled at state capitolMarch 2, 2010Clean water advocates are encouraged to attend at least one of the three hearings scheduled by the Minnesota Senate Environment & Natural Resources Committee the week of March 8. The hearings will address the scope of mining exploration in the state, the history of how existing regulations were created, the PolyMet project, and a bill that would strengthen laws requiring a “damage deposit” from mining companies. Please attend the meetings to show visible, vocal support for clean water. Wear a blue shirt to be part of this demonstration of citizen concern. More details coming soon!
